If you have duplicate files stored on your computer or external storage device, then you could be
using up and wasting space that could be used for something else. That is where duplicate files
searcher applications come into their own. Theses programs search for exact matches of files
which are stored on your hard drive, storage devices or even across multiple systems or devices.
A duplicate files searcher is easy to use, simply requiring you to add the directories you wish to
search to the applications list. This can include shared networks and removable disks.

A duplicate files searcher application can look for duplicates using a number of methods.
The default setting usually compares hashed indexes of each file and performs a byte to byte
comparison of matches which are found. However, some applications search for exact matches
